Marketing Coordinator (Backlist)

REPORTS TO: This position will report to the Brand and Marketing Manager. The Brand and Marketing Manager will develop this candidate as they mature within the organization.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES

Wisdom Publications is seeking a skilled and highly motivated marketing/communications professional to assist the Brand and Marketing Manager in implementing Wisdom’s marketing and communications initiatives. The backlist Marketing Coordinator supports the success of the Wisdom community, Wisdom staff, and Wisdom marketing team by assisting in the carrying out marketing, branding, and content campaigns, projects, and responsibilities related to “backlist” books and online courses. (“Backlist” products are those that are not being currently promoted as new releases. For books, this means any book published more than 12 months ago.)

The primary objectives are to carry out effective marketing campaigns, support the positive experience and success of all stakeholders (customers, authors, donors, staff members, etc), and ensure increasing reach and brand awareness.

MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS

  • Undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities
  • Includes creating and ensuring the Wisdom Experience and success for the entire community, including authors, stakeholders, partners, customers
  • Marketing trends and research
  • Content management, creation, curation (PDFs, quotes/passages from backlist books, video, audio, articles)
  • Campaign execution
  • Campaign A/B testing
  • Campaign analysis/reporting
  • List/contact management (Surveys, Research, Personas)
  • Researches competitive products by identifying and evaluating product characteristics, market share, pricing, and advertising; maintaining research databases
  • Fundraising
  • Communicate directly with stakeholders and ensure trusting relationships

SOCIAL MEDIA

  • Schedules Facebook posts and tweets, providing our community with a stream of high-quality text and visual content
  • Works with Brand and Marketing Manager to create Facebook ad campaigns to support Wisdom goals such as backlist sales, community engagement, and list-building

WEBSITE

  • Enters and updates website content to keep our website fresh, interesting, and useful to our community
  • Researches and runs google analytics reports and presents these to Brand and Marketing Manager

CONTENT

  • Works with the Brand and Marketing Manager to curate book content into website articles, PDFs, and social media posts

AUTHOR/TEACHER SUCCESS & EXPERIENCE

  • Works with the Brand and Marketing Manager to help serve authors, promote author events, create author newsletters, etc.

WISDOM EVENTS
