Q. Is Wisdom Publications a safe shopping site?
A. Yes. When customers click on “place this order” in the shopping cart, an SSL encryption secured webpage provides customers with a secure shopping environment. Our vendor SSL certificate can be view by clicking on the “lock” icon in the shopping cart.
Q. How is my payment processed?
A. All payments for orders and account balances will be processed through our fulfillment warehouse, PSSC (Publishers Storage and Shipping Corporation). Credit card statements will indicate PSSC as the retail provider. Your credit card will not be charged until your order has shipped.
Q. I have a problem with my order. How can I find out the status?
A. If you have a question or concern regarding an order for a Wisdom book, you may contact our fulfillment warehouse, PSSC, by phone at (800) 272-4050 ( direct 978-829-2555) or by e-mail at orders [at] pssc [dot] com. Please include your order number in your email. PSSC is open from 9am to 5pm EST Monday through Friday.
Q. I ordered a book on your website, and got a message that it was out of stock. What does that mean?
A. If you placed an order for a book that is out of stock, your order will be held until new stock arrives. You will not be charged until the book ships. If you have further questions about that order, please email orders [at] pssc [dot] com for more information.
Q. I am a bookseller or wholesaler outside the U.S. How do I purchase Wisdom books for resale?
A. International trade information can be found on our trade ordering page.
Q. How long will it take for my books to arrive?
A. All orders will be shipped from our distributor PSSC within two working days of receipt. Book rate takes up to three weeks across the U.S. and up to two months overseas. UPS and priority mail are faster. For overnight or 2-day rush orders, please call PSSC at (800) 272-4050 or direct (978-829-2555).
Q. What is the Wisdom return policy?
A. If you are not satisfied with your purchase, we will be glad to provide a full refund or exchange for undamaged items within 30 days of receipt. Shipping costs are not refunded. Please send the return items with a copy of the invoice to:

Q. I’m someone from the media who needs to reach an author for an interview, or otherwise speak to a publicist.
A. Our publicity department is happy to try to connect you with authors, pending their availability and schedules. Please submit your request by emailing our marketing department through our contact page, and we will contact you as soon as possible. You may also call (617) 776-7416, ext. 27, but only for strict deadlines, please.
Q. I need a review copy of one of your books.
A. If you need a book for publicity purposes (print, broadcast, or electronic media), please fax your request on letterhead to (617) 776-7841, or e-mail our Marketing Department through our contact page.
Q. I would like to request a desk or examination copy.
A. If you are an instructor and are considering using a Wisdom book for a class, please fax your request on letterhead to (617) 776-7841, mail it to Wisdom Publications attn. Marketing, 199 Elm Street, Somerville, MA 02144, or e-mail your request to our marketing department at marketing[at]wisdompubs[dot]org. Please include the instructor's name, contact information, class title, schedule (semester and year), and estimated enrollment. For hardcover copies, we require a $5 shipping fee. All requests are subject to approval.
Q. I work for a foreign publisher, and I’m interested in reviewing some of your books for foreign rights.
A. All permissions and foreign rights requests must be made in writing. Please contact our foreign rights agent for your language. A list can be found on our rights and permissions page. Q. Do you sell prints of artwork found in Wisdom titles?
A. We do not sell prints of the art that appears on our covers, bookmarks, or other materials. If there is a museum or other institution or listed in the art credit, you may try contacting them.
Q. Are Wisdom books available in bookstores?
A. Yes, Wisdom Publications books are sold in bookstores throughout the world. If you can’t find what you’re looking for at your local bookstore, please ask them to special order it and to carry our titles.
Q. Does Wisdom accept unsolicited manuscripts? What are your guidelines?
A. Yes, we occasionally accept unsolicited manuscripts on Buddhist topics for publication. Please visit our submission guidelines page for more information.
